I must apologise for jumping in the middle of a thread NOT having read the
begining, but this mission seems like the biggest WIN-WIN ever for NASA and
JPL and all the people on this planet considering this upgrade to newer and
more powerful / sensitive devices will extend the life of the Hubble for
another 15+ years, and given the fact that the shuttles are at the end of their
life and our "sell out, give it all away to other countries" so called
representatives have not had the foresight to pay for a new vehicle seems to
me to make this a MUST before there is not a delivery system left.
Excuse me if I failed to see in the news any news of a new vehicle because
to date I have NOT heard of a new vehicle being *built* only supercomputer
models and scram jet experiments. and since I'm the paranoid type, I do not
beleive the NSA would let NASA borrow their aurora borealis spy planes, you
know the ones that replaced the sr71's ? :Q
Ok let me have it ;) specially all you old engineers ;) that know a lot
more that I do.
LOL and wishing you all the clearest skies
Roman
