Re: [ATM] ronchi pics digital camera etc

I've got an article on my website on the subject of using a
camera behind the KE.
Any camera that you want to use can usually be adapted to the
job. The biggest problem is to get the lens close enough to see
all of the mirror. The camera is focused on the mirror so you
don't need any special lenses for the job.
I personally find that a video camera works fine for what I do -
observe the image on the screen of the monitor rather than having
to get down there and shave my eyebrows and lashes with the KE.
Since I've been running a class in mirrormaking, it also allows
me to show the mirror maker what his mirror really looks like
without wondering what he really is seeing. One of the two
photos that I have on my site is of a test being done with the
first version of a camera setup. An industrial camera is sitting
on top of 3 boxes of Kimwipes right behind the KE and you can see
what it is seeing on the monitor. That camera was very nice as
it allows for setting the exposure time so I didn't need to get
the room dark to get out of the AGC function that the cheap
security cameras have and thus could work in bright light.
