[ATM] 4" objective !

hello everyone,



after failing on the concave mirror front and care
package yet to recieve.i have found a vendor who will
make a 4" plano-convex lens for me(hopefully today i
will get it). no miracle is expected as i am sure it
would have severe lens aberration because there is no
coating etc but it is a start for me and in a broad
point of view for anyone in pakistan.it will have
1000mm focal length.

my question is,does the diameter of the tube(pvc in my
case) effects the final image in anyway as it effects
in case of newtonian telescope? in other words should
i get pvc of 4" diameter or 5" diameter ?

2nd question,should the lens be made from flint glass?
