If you think of it one way, the push/pull bolt arrangement is essentially a
spring system that's very, very stiff.
If you use stiff enough springs you should be OK. I have used springs in my
cells for my ten and 16 inch scopes...I don't complain about how often the
main mirror loses collimation. But it also depends on how hard core you are
about keeping collimation in a transportable scope that is subject to bumps.
