It's the best unless you intend to use it to line the inside of a tube
that has already been painted. In my experience, adhesion is poor to
painted surfaces (particularly flat black), which is on the inside of
almost any dob. (It seems to stick fine at first, but then gradually
it loses its grip.)
A while back, I was horrified to find a piece of it had fallen from
the top of the tube of my 5.25" scope onto the primary.
Miraculously it landed adhesive side up!!!!
Reminds me of the saying about buttered bread always landing butter
side down, but in this case I was flocking lucky. :)
I recently saw it coming off of the inside of a friend's scope.
You have been warned.
Yes, I know they have the new "high-tack" stuff, but that wasn't
available when these scopes were flocked.
It does stick fine to Kydex and other thin (clean) plastic, so I use
it on light shields when I can.
