Re: [ATM] eclipse optics 3x Barlow
Looking over the Eclipse Optics limited product line just now, it would
appear that all of their eyepieces, Barlows, etc. are nothing more than the
usual imported stuff from the Far East. Given that the same products are
widely available from numerous sources, and given that two-thirds of the
links on the Eclipse Optics web site are inoperable, I would be very
uncomfortable ordering from a company like that. Instead, I'd look
elsewhere.
As to that particular Barlow, I think you'd be disappointed regardless of
where you bought it. Instead, you would be better off going with something
like Celestron's Ultima <http://tinyurl.com/2c2kl> or Orion Telescope's
Shorty-Plus <http://tinyurl.com/foi4>. Both are 2x Barlows and are highly
thought of by users.
Good luck,
Phil Harrington
