Re: [ATM] Gell cell batteries

I would look into Lithium ION Polymer batteries;

I've used these (from this site) for other projects and an 11.1 volt 2.2 AH
battery would only weigh 5 ounces (compared to ~25 oz for GEL) and costs
only $49.95 with charger. Compared to gel cells you wouldn't know they were
even there.

At the above site they sell them in packs or individual flat (prism). In the
pre-built packs they include a charge/discharge monitor module and the smart
charger also monitors the charge as a backup for safety. I would read about
handling Lithium ION batteries before you decide to use them.

You can find these at any hobby shop too.

Subject: [ATM] Gell cell batteries

I have limited room in my 16'' mirror box underneath my mirror but I wanted
to put in a gell cell battery to power a computer fan for cool down and a
diagonal heater ( so I don't have wires lying around). The only one I can
find that is flat enough is a 12V 2.2 Amp/hr one. Does anyone have ideas
about whether this would be enough to get me though at least one full
night's viewing before recharging?
