Remember, any part of the telescope, or any possible path from outside, that 
can't be seen from or reach the focal plane of an EP won't generate 
scattered light within the FOV.
If you don't (for some reason) want a full shroud that goes all the way from 
mirror box to OTA, a "skirt" from the mirror box will shield the mirror box 
top (that is usually visible from the focuser via the secondary) from 
external light.

But the focuser baffle is indeed important and is usually what defines the 
height of the OTA or added extensions for efficient baffling.
