Nah, actually just a warning to others that attend the list that
there's no reason to bring out their opinions.
Any subjective thing like this can produce a long discussion of
the idea that sometimes reduces itself to absurdities and this
can be one of those.
Doing a binocular scope usually ends up with larger secondaries
as you need to get the focal plane further out from the center of
the scopes to the eyes.  Things that would, in normal
circumstances, be poor decidions will end up bding necessary
decisions so go do things the way that they need to be done.
Personallly, I'd shoot for a 20mm 100% illumination but then that
is my personal desire in this regard.
