Re: [ATM] Thin blanks - slumping



What size blank was that?  If I recall it was not very
big.  My 16x1 weighting 20 lbs was shipped for less
than $10 UPS.  Glass of similar size is strong and
tough.  I heard the Dobson used to ship portholes by
placing a shipping sticker on them.  No box was
needed.

Mine came in a cardboard box bearly bigger than the
blank with 2 sloted pieces of styrophome to cushion it
on the sides.

Don't require that it be shipped in a handmade wooden
crate like one glass company wanted to do for me. 
Tell them to just put it in a box wrapped in bubble
wrap will do fine.
