[ATM] 10" sonotube vs. truss

Hello,

I have built a 4.5" Dobson using a cardboard sonotube-like product.  For a 
first build it came out pretty nice.

For my second scope I will be using a 10" f/5 mirror.  I know that I can 
build it using a sonotube, but would it be worth the effort to build a 
truss design instead?

My concern about the sonotube is that "that's one big sonotube" to be 
hauling around.

My concern is that the truss design looks a lot more challenging to build 
than a sonotube design.

For the "not too talented" hobbyist, what do you think?  Will the truss 
design take three times as long to build and become very frustrating, or if 
you're a capable sonotube builder is it not too much of a jump?
