I've found that TDE is most offten caused by the center being
overpolished relative to the rest of the mirror. This gradually
digs the center (ala the parabolic strokes) and the edge never
catches up to the center. Supprisingly, doing TOT work, which
works the edges more than the center, takes out TDE very nicely
for most poeple. I've also found the short stroke MOT to
explictly work the outer area to do a good job of getting the
mirror to a good shape.
