The "Huge Lens" on ebay ends up being an excellent quality f/9 doublet ...with a clear aperture of nine inches.

There was also a very concave 4 inch and another 7 inch lens in the identical glass ...more than enough material to build a Super-Schupmann refractor scope.

I know most on the list are more interested in reflector scopes, but ...Can anyone come up with a prescription for the second lens/mirror using most of the available 7 inches of glass?
I am mainly interested in planetary viewing and have found an Airforce surplus prism binocular head from the SR-70 spy-plane program capable of 800 line pair/mm resolution and wide field viewing.
