[ATM] Waineo/Jones null test question

I've recently become interested in experimenting with the Waineo null 
test.  I've downloaded the documents from Mel's site and also managed to 
transcribe the Basic program from the Jones S&T article.  I'd like to 
experiment with the software but I'm unable to get either the program 
from Mel's site or the Jones program working. 

I'm wondering if the Program from Mel's site won't work under Windows 
XP?  I can get it to accept input for all the parameters but once I 
enter the last bit of data and hit the enter key the window closes 
without giving me any information about mirror spacings etc.  Does 
anyone have an idea what I should do?  Does the data get recorded 
somewhere else on the computer and I haven't found it yet?

As for the Basic program from S&T written by Jones, I've checked all of 
the code and I've got an exact match but after entering the test data 
from the article the programs says I have an illegal function call on 
one of the lines and crashes without giving me the results.  Does anyone 
know which version of basic the program was written for?  I'm running it 
on GW basic though I don't know which version right now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.  It also occurs to me that someone 
might have a working copy of one of these programs that could be emailed 
to me.  Please email me offline if you are willing to send me a working 
copy of one of these programs.

My goal is to test different configurations to find what might be the 
best test sphere given my shop size.
