I'd say it is in part due to difficulty to read the output as given by
the software Richard uses.
I tried more than once to get design parameters out of what is, in fact,
a pile of
undefined abbreviations and numbers, without obvious relation to the
parameters they
indicate. Not everyone uses Oslo, or any complex ray-tracing software,
and probably 
majority of readers don't use any. I may have better than average
design/raytracing
experience, yet every time I tried to "filter out" parameters posted  by
Richard, 
I just gave up.

Every design consists of elements' radii, thicknesses, indici and
interspaces. I don't know 
why it is good for a software to have abbreviations for those that
doesn't relate to the original word.
But it would definitely be more useful if the design posts here would
have software output 
translated into a clear and readable form, if it is not given as such
originally.
