[ATM] when is a transformer not a transformer
What irony! Last week Lionel corp filed for bankruptcy.
People have a choice: we either take responsibility for thinking
and for our lives, or, we ask government to protect us. Like it
or not, we got the latter.
In it's first important vote since the election, Congress
approved a bill with over 14,000 spending items. The previous
bill had but 2000! Included in the current one are money for The
Music Hall of Fame and for DNA testing of bears in Montana.
Senator McCain got it right yesterday when he said to Tim
Russert: "The system is broken!"
As for hot wire cutters, aside from the mistaken assumptions
about "auto transformers", I and others in the business of making
composite parts have been using hot wire cutters to cut cores for
everything from telescope tubes to aircraft wings for 30 years.
I've yet to hear of anyone toasting himself. According to my
helpers the closest anyone has come to killing himself was when
they drank a cup of coffee I made. (They don't know about the
incident where I inhaled MEKP fumes)
