Hi Peter

I did have to cut off the last 3 inches of unrolled aluminium. 

The mechanism was three sets of skatebaord/rollerblade bearings (608
series) mounted in wood pieces and then pressure applied using my vice.
I VERY VERY dirty job, but it worked. Very slight misalignment was
corrected with some shoulder strength
