[ATM] RE: RC with multiple Primaries
Today's comment on the topic refer to problems with multiple primaries of
different focal lengths. How about multiple primaries of the same focal
length and figuring? Do the separate images reinforce? Would there be a wave
phase problem? Imagine that someone could build five 10" inch
Ritchie-Chretien primaries of the same focal lengths, place them in a ring,
and align each one of them with a single off-axis secondary. What would be
the optics of the resulting system? Has this been tried? Is there anything
interesting that could be learned from such an experiment?
Regards,
Julio
