[ATM] Maksutov Corrector Cell Design
I have come upon a product called 'Perlite' which is a texturing material
for paint to give a rough finish... I plan to use this in a mixture of White
Glue and water to coat the inside of my newtonian tube and then spray paint
it with dull black paint...It gives a sand texture while being much much
lighter than sand.
I wonder if anyone has used this stuff and if anyone has a recommendation
for the amount of water to mix with the glue and Perlite to give a nice
coat...The straight mixture of perlite and white glue is much to thick and
lumpy for good painting... I plan to do a bit of experimenting but would
like to have some guidelines or the result of others efforts to steer
me...The tube is a 12 inch diameter sonatube, the thin plastic sheet liner
has been removed such that bare cardboard is on the inside of the tube..
Glue adheres well...
