The contact between the aluminum and the glass is often done with optics.
If you are afraid, a nice gasket material will definitely assuage your fears
and will be acceptable to do. Machining of the R2 surface angle on the back
of the cell is the better way to go although a square edge with some gasket
material will work just fine. The biggest problem will be burrs making for
a high pressure point on the glass.
Minor tilts of the corrector lens won't hurt the image. Thus, the Mak lens
usually isn't made to be specifically alignable unless there is a secondary
spot on the lens and the alignment process is concerned with the alignment
of that spot to the primary mirror.
