 ATM Journal  Issue #5 had a description along with an offer for 
detailed plans for a 13 inch f/4.5 Split-Ring Porter Equatorial which 
relied upon truss tubing and disassembled for transport. The article 
was by John Shelley. I wasn't sure if you were looking for a dob 
design or an equatorial design...
They may have back issues and/or copies of his drawings still 
available.
