I had a similar thought on this matter and I think it's worth
considering further.
Perhaps not a 1/2 page ad (I have no idea what the rates are to pay
for advertisements in S&T, Astronomy, Scientific American and other
science mags, electronics and ham mags, etc.) but some type of small
classified ad may be a cost that is outweighed by the benefit.
Or at least in the astro magazine section where they mention a
calendar of various star parties. . .perhaps this list can be
mentioned on a quartely or semiannual basis?
We have to get the word out to others in the hobby! Demo's and
seminars at star parties, announcements of ATM events at these star
parties in magazine calendars, adverts or other announcements in
astronomy related magazines, etc, etc.
