I believe it was Steve Tonkin that hit the nail on the head.  Most of what
has been in the column lately has been marginal.  Magazines are devoted to
"current" events.  Much of what we do is already published in books.  I
would stronly advise someone doing a project that is a little different to
document it and submit it.  Doing it here and on a web page would be nice
to.  Web space has been volunteered by M&M (Mel and Matt).  Bob Paff's SCT
project would be GREAT to see.
