The information about the name change for telescope making department
and  possibly not including the department every month did come from the
editorial in the July issue that was given out at RTMC. The name change
is definite . The possibility that the department will not be included
every month was only hinted at by Leif Robinson, but was stated in such
a way as to leave it open whether S&T would  include it  every month if
they choose to. I did state that the department MAY not be run every
month. The name change ,says it all. If ATMers don't let their opinion
be known, S&T may just feel that the telescope making part of S&T isn't
important. Some inflammatory opinion is better than no opinion at all.
Perhaps the name change and hints about not running departments every
month are a test to see if what they are doing matters. I can see why
writing S&T with your opinion on ATM articles could help them to
determine what course they should take in the future. We are the
customers after all.
