I recently bought an Earth & Sky 6" f/4 at a swap meet, which was being
sold at a reduced price because of a small chip in the back side.

I've only had the resulting RFT built up for long enough to use it a
handful of times, but I've been quite happy with it so far.  In a
side-by-side comparison against my 6" f/8 Cave, the Earth & Sky f/4
shows very similar images on galaxies, decent detail on Mars but much
less detail than the Cave shows, and somewhat less pretty (more
comatic) star images, exactly what you would expect for a decent f/4
versus a Cave f/8.   I wouldn't have any hesitation about buying
another Earth & Sky mirror for future telescope projects.
