Alien abduction of abrasives is certainly a possibility.  We have been
reluctant to discuss it here on the atm list because cigarette man will
send his MIB.  I apologize if this joke is abrasive to some, or grinds
you the wrong way.

Otherwise, a solid tool does tend to push the grit off the work
quickly.  You can reuse this grit by washing it.
