I'm afraid, you must get rid of the silicone adhesive
for the sake of aluminizing. Any remants of silicone or other
glue (in fact, anything except glass and metal) will gass out
and impair the vacuum strongly enough to prevent to get the
right aluminizing done. We had such problems frequently at our
aluminizing plant in the Hamburg Observatory were I worked
a few years ago and had much contact to the local technical staff.
..unless you settle on silvering, but I would appreciate the
durability of a Si-coated aluminum layer too much to suggest that.
