I might be willing to store, and make available on the web, the current
month's worth of digest.  How often do they come out??  I'll consider this
some more.  Could someone forward a copy of a recent digest to me?

This is my recommendation... even if we can't put the digest on the web. 
Best of both worlds... people know about the ATM list (in both digest and
non-digest forms) and the archives... plus you don't make anyone mad by
sending a 50K+ posting to them.  You might want to send the reminder more
than once a month, as most systems age that newsgroup faster than that. 
We don't want anyone to miss it (except maybe "Nancy" :-).
