ATM stepper motors from floppy drives...

Has anyone used the stepper motors from a floppy disk drive
to run something small like a barn door camera mount?

I've got a couple old 5.25" floppy drives with motors.  One motor
is Mitsubishi, the other a Sanyo.  (Don't have the part numbers 
handy.)  The Mitsubishi is 1.8 degrees per step -- typically the barn
door needs to go 1 rpm, so this seems doable with a bit of electronics.
One problem is that I don't have a spec sheet for the motor.
