ATM Re: Drill Press Accessories

Hi There,

I have a 9" bench mount drill press that has served me very well. I
can say that I have taken this machine to the limits of it's strength
with some of my projects ie; flex in the castings of mainly the table.
The accessories that I have for it are a good set of drill bits, up
to 1". Also a set of numbered and lettered bits, a good hole saw set, a
bunch of reamers, and several milling cutters.
The best accessory, evan though it is not very accurate, is the
cross slide vise, a 4" imported model. It is indispensible for accurate
positioning and spacing of holes. The one I have isn't that great as
there is alot of play in the lead screws and the divisions read only in
.05" incriments. I would buy a positioning table, with a flat top and t
- slots, next time. But none the less I am able to drill fairly
accurate holes and do some basic milling with it. At least more
consistantly than I could do by hand positioning the piece.
I really want a mill-drill as that has the best features of both.
It also is still movable enough with owning a crane and semi truck.
    Good luck.
