I'm building my first telescope (8",f/8 Newton) and I have finished everything except the dobson-mounting I want to use. Now I have a problem in constructing its bearings because I´ve got no idea where I could get the often proposed teflon pads. Are there any substitutes for these teflon pads (e.g. a vinyl record for the base bearing)? Thanks, Joerg Rudolph Marburg/Germany
