ATM small rasied center of mirror

Ok, so I spoke a little fast about my 'good sphere' oops. I have a
small raised area about 3" diameter in the center. When I hold the
mirror up and look at a bright source such as a sun filled window, you
can just BARELY tell the difference between the center and the rest of
the mirror.
  How about cutting a 3" hole in wax paper and pressing between the
mirror and the tool to help polish this raised area down. I have spent a
total of about 13 hours polishing thus far, never could quite get the
middle of my lap to 'stay' up. Did almost all the polishing with the
MOT.
