ATM pitch emergency

I took out one of the little containers from W-B of pitch, heated it
up, poured it on my plaster tool. Think I waited too long, the pitch
flowed out to about an 1 1/4" from the side (8 inch tool) left a pancake
of about 5/16" in the middle. Grabbed the second container, SURPRISE, it
was a much darker pitch, had no idea they were different. Heated it up,
poured it around the outside to fill in the space and a small amount on
top of the 'pancake'. Got my mirror gooped up with CO cream and started
pressing. After 5 minutes, not much changed. My mirror is still elevated
about an 1/8" above the outer ring of the second pitch. Put the tool and
mirror in hot water for a few minutes and continued the pressing. Still
not much action.

  WHAT CAN I DO?!? help.......
