At a junk shop the other day I picked up a half dozen heavy cardboard tubes used to house 102mm ammunition. They are about 6 inches id and 34 inches long. Looks like they could be joined together easily. Does anyone have any experience with using these as telescope tubes? Thinking about remounting my 4 1/2 inch from its clunky plywood tube to one of these. Any ideas? Mike. --
