Michael,

I made a mounting bracket for a 1986 vintage 80mm Brandon APO using 
plywood, glue and screws.

Plywood was 3/4 inch. Rings were octagonal in shape. Holes were cut using a 
large hole cutter. Rings were glued and screwed, then painted with 
polyurethane.

I used several T-nuts to allow several different mounting applications, 
including photo-tripod. However, the scope/mount is best used on a Televue 
Panoramic Mount.
