Frank,
I have one of the Burle model CCD654 cameras that Roger Tuthill
used to swell. I took it in trade recently and didn't get any specs, etc.
I have tried it out on a Televue 4" Genesis refractor from my severely
light poluted back yard. It way far more sensitive than needed for the
moon and picked up more stars than I could see with mu naked eye. I am
going to eventually try it out with my 12" LX200 from a dark site but haven't
had a chance to yet. As to price, the guy who swapped it to me said that
he paid $ 689 for it a couple of years ago. Ralph Tuthill said to me that
he no longer sells it because he no longer has any contact with his supplier.
I really don't have any idea what he meant by that. The sensitivity is
apparently some where in the range 0.02 LUX to 0.001 LUX. I can't tell
you any more than that.
