Follow-up on the eyes

A couple weeks ago I mentioned I was seeing three moons (more for your money, right!). Well it looks like I will go to Riverside still seeing three moons, _BUT_ after June 14 it will be a different story - it'll be back to observing again, whoopee!

Now a question: has anyone used a 6 mm Vixen eyepiece? If you have post me directly, please, any comments. I bought it from Todd Gross of Chanel 7 in Boston. I have to say amateur astronomers are trustworthy folks - send money, get item in return. I also think atm'ers are generous people. Looking forward to using this new eyepiece.

Some day soon I'm going to try to make a flat for a ceolostat. (never could spell) Can I get advice? I'm reading Advanced Telescope Making Techniques, pg 153, but I like to know how to prepare the tool. Thanks to you folks I believe I understand how to test the flat, but what is the tool like. Please remember this isn't a doagional as it is planned to be 8 to 10-inches.

Bob
