Well, it sounds to me that you haven't got what to do at the moment ...

Making your 10" into f/42 sphere and improving the 14" flat gives you a VERY interesting opportunity to make a dream planetary 'scope - unobstructed, with a fixed eyepiece position INSIDE THE HOUSE !

It works like this

| | 14" coelostat flat (driven at 1/2 sider. rate)
House wall (facing south) North <========== =========> South

It should be checked, but I think that 10" can work tilted at f/42. Otherwise, make it a bit longer !

No more mosquitoes, cold fingers, colf feet, freezing eyepieces, uncomfortable neck breaking positions at the scope ... And best of all - cup of coffee won't instantly fog your eyepiece !
