It didn't work! Batteries discharging has gotten me grumpy (friendly Bob here). What about a design for a machine to make large flats (and elipticals) and the steps. I'd like to cut the cost of making one. Any ideas? I got wood, tools, energy and the willingness to do it. Maybe it will result in as good as the mirror grinding machine we made from all of your suggestions. Mostly Mel Bartle's.
