Tom,
Regarding your inquiry as to the economies of the Telstar kit
vs. the W-B kit it looks like the W-B kit is a no brainer in
that for just $10. you get enough glass to do not one but two 6"
scopes. Remember you're getting two pyrex blanks. Regarding
the difficulty of plaster-tile tools which have been discussed
in great detail here in previous posts I am sure that you will
be able to fabricate one without much trouble. Good luck and
have fun with your new project.
