Great... Keep the knowledge flowing and let's publish a good how-to method
for thin mirrors.

Here's a pic of my 25" x 1" thick mirror which has the mirror supported at
90 degrees like Mel just said.

I've seen much less astigmatism using the two peg at 90 degrees edge
support.  The 90 degree separated supports cancel the main form of
astigmatism.
