To all:

I have watched the thread about tile tools for quite some time now; whether 
or not you might find my methods validated by my account of my experience 
with them, and whether or not you might want to use them, I believe you will 
come away with some appreciation of some of the ideas contained in my old 
article about how to make the Portland/Winburne Hex tile tool. Thanks to 
Matt Consodine, the article is still accessible. He has done me a great 
honor to put it up again for all of us, and I urge you to read it. There are
