Welcome to the list. As to your polisher/grinder you
can use, it looks like it might work well. Checking
Buehler's website, I cannot find specs for this model,
so it must be an older version. If the turntable
turns, and has a reasonable amount of torque, it would
be great, especially if you can slow the spindle down
to 1-4 rpms. Since it does not appear to have an
overarm, you must stil do the hand work, but with a
smooth running slow spindle, you can produce great
telescope optics that way.
What is the diameter of the plate? What size of
mirror are you contemplating?
