Is it okay to use 5AO on a pitch lap?...

I don't really know how long it is permissible to use the lap at one 
time...I think the idea is though that the polishing creates heat which 
makes the facets of the lap expand some...I would say that you can polish 
for at least 20-30 minutes at a time...basically until the lap and mirror 
are no longer in good conntact.  Then let everything cool down...cold press 
a bit, and then back at it.  Someone please correct me if i'm wrong so i can 
correct my procedures lol.

I only press with the screen when i first make the lap...the micro facets it 
created were persistent.  The idea with them being that all the polishing 
really takes place on the edges of the pitch... so the micro facets create a 
lot of little edges.
