I put tools in the clothes dryer on LOW, which brings it to about 125F.
'course, if you don't have a shelf in your dryer, you can expect
a bit of noise. :-)

tried to poor pitch lap on tool cooled to fast have a big mess # 55
pitch, can you get it hot enough in a double boiler type container I
will have to chip it off the tool and try to reheat it.  My tool has
tiles in top under the pitch. they said not to bring to a boil what is
boil temperer of # 55 pitch.
