	I don't like tipping in either direction and don't try to break the
suction at all. 

	I take slide em apart as follows. 

	When you get the top disk off center about 50 % grip around the edge
of the top disk with both hands. You can do that now that it is off center
that much. Put one hand up close to the joint between disks. Rotate the top
disk to place one index finger vertically between the edges as if in the
jaws of  scissors, close to the big knuckle at the hand. Continue to rotate
in the plane of the disks pivoting on that finger while supporting the
overhang weight with the other hand that is also gripping around the edge of
the top disk. As the top disk comes off support the weight of that side of
the top disk with the scissored finger hand, using that finger as a guide
not to allow a vertical element to the motion before the disks have
separated.

	I emphasise that it is a rotation motion centered on the finger that
is scissored between the disks.

	One hand swings the arc and the other is the pivot. Both hands are
gripping the top disk. Be careful to maintain the same height with the swing
hand so that you do not lever on disk's edge into the other.

	With just a little practice you should be able to make a graceful
sweep off of the bottom disk without levering the edge of one on the other.
The entire sequence takes 2 or 3 seconds.

 with tool on top what is the best way to separate them when done with
polishing and need to clean between application of CEO cream ? I had real
problem with my tool and have discovered it works best after pulling the
tool 90% I tip it down to break suction this has stopped chipping the outer
edge of the mirror and stopped chipping the outer tiles. is there a better
method ?
