As much as I tried to keep my two sons involved in my hobbies (astronomy, ATMing, woodworking, just building stuff), neither has shown any interest in any of them. The older one is beginning to get into DIYing now that he and his wife have bought a home. I really thought that they would catch the flying model bug from me, but after just one airplane, it was gone......too work intensive, too long of a learning curve on the flying part.

There are just too many things for young folks to get involved in that don't require and real effort , or are more fun.
