Re: [ATM] make pitch lap tool

Small tiles are the key to a nonstick pitch lap. Big
ones in the middle, small ones to the edge.

I use a tool made to the curve of my mirror and drop a
little blob of pitch on a warmed tool. I use
subdiameter with big mirrors (8" for 13" mirror).

The pitch is thin, perhaps 1/16" at its thickest. I
like it a little soft, but I'm going to try harder
pitch this time to see if it affects figuring speed.

Backing - use plaster of paris or dental stone.
Weight - how much are you willing to push around? I
make the tool about 3/4" thick, and it's plenty good
for a workout.
