When I got into the hobby there was 1 member of my local club who had
built a scope, and he used a mirror made by the only guy in the club who
made mirrors (who had left the club years ago). This list *was* my local
ATM group (thanks guys!). I started an ATM group here in NJ and drummed
up interest. Thanks to some great guys I met since (like Gordon Waite),
I now take a back seat in our group and just help out, rather than
running it.

So, if you want your local club to be more like the LVAAS than my club
was, try generating some interest among your friends and colleagues.

P.S. Although the list membership hasn't gone up, there was very little
online besides this list 10 years ago, and now there are more ATM
list/forums/whatever than you can shake a stick at, so the total number
of ATMs online may be greater than we think.
