In some photography groups I frequent, they lament that many of the top
pro's shun the sites. Signal to noise is very bad and you have a bunch
of 'artists' having the same flame wars over and over. Me, I'm a
technician when it comes to photography. ;)
But I really don't know how the list number relates to total atm's. For
some it is too much repetition and they are out making mirrors, not
posting to a group. Some of us stay on just to make sure new folks will
get off to a good start and we love every aspect of the craft. I have
stayed involved mainly on the tech side of the list and atm site for
now. (I am after someone to return my machine so I can redo a mirror.
Itch is getting pretty bad. ;) )As long as we can easily get supplies,
don't worry. That means we have the numbers to sustain. Well,
relatively easy in the US any how.
